“Goddammit!” Jake pounded on the table, a scowl twisting his features. He put his face in his hands; two hours of gaming and he hadn't won a single match. Leon rolled his eyes from across the table, tossing his headset onto his keyboard.
“Calm down, Jake. It's just a game.” Jake rolled his eyes.
“I'm gonna de-rank! You guys have to win next time!” James sighed heavily.
“It's not our fault you suck.”
“I don't suck! You guys just don't listen to me!” Justin stood.
“You know, if we listened to you, we’d lose even more.” Jake stood as well, shoving at Justin.

Sylvian: Unexpected
The slave market stank. A more poetic mind might have said it stank of misery and suffering- to Sylvian's more practical nose, it simply smelled like sewage and hundreds of unwashed bodies. The smell made him gag slightly, and he did his best not to inhale any more air than he strictly needed.
It was early in the morning, and there were no buyers about just yet- only slavers and their wares. The trio who intended to sell Sylvian pulled him down muddy unpaved roads to an empty stall off the main row. It at least smelled a little cleaner here- he could be thankful for that much, if nothing else.
